Witney Lions Club is delighted to announce that it is now happy to accept used spectacles (without cases or cloths please) for recycling. Nationally Lions Clubs are prominent in this field, and all glasses collected are sent to their sorting locations which have the expertise, and the international charitable connections, to ensure best use of them.
Please email us (see below) for further information, or look out for our collection bins in the Witney branches of Specsavers, Boots or Vision Express.
Witney Lions will be under the clock tower in the Woolgate Centre, Witney on Saturday 19th March from 09:00 until 17:00 selling second-hand books, jigsaws and CD’s. Why don’t you come and see if anything takes your fancy.
If you have any items you wish to donate to the Lions, please bring them along when you come and see us.

Due the terrible ongoing conflict in Ukraine, today we have unreservedly voted to contribute £500 to the Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF) for the Refugees and Displaced Persons fund.
Lions clubs around the world are donating funds to support this special disaster relief fund.
LCIF are working with leadership in each country to develop a project plan for LCIF to support Lion-led distribution of immediate needs. Care packages will include food, water, hygiene items, and clothing. After initial grants, LCIF will continue to work with Lions in the adjacent and surrounding countries to evaluate needs, and the potential for Lions to assist.
Whilst we normally distribute funds raised locally back within the local area, the unprecedented attack on a peaceful country and the huge humanitarian fallout as a result, we felt this was the least that we could do.
