Horse race equipment refresh
Getting ready for our next Horse Race 🏇 Event
With the upcoming Charity Horse Race event at The Langdale Hall in aid of Marie Curie on 22nd June 2024, we thought that the horses and jumps could do with a bit of a spruce up, so a small team of volunteers grabbed their paint & brushes and got to work 😀

Horse Race event 22nd March 2024
The Lions helped run a Race Night to raise funds for Petals and Aching Arms ( charities who support bereaved families after the loss of their baby during pregnancy, at birth or soon after.) in memory of Nuala. A superb night of fun was had by all and most importantly a huge sum of money was raised for the charities both on the Tote and the raffle.

Lions Social – Skittles

Great fun was had by all at the recent Lions’ skittles evening held at ‘The Ferryman’ pub at Bablockhythe. 25 members and friends enjoyed excellent pub food, and battled through 3 rounds of keen competition. Sue Lovell brilliantly retained her individual champion title and carried off the famous Lion trophy. Lion Leith Holmes was victor in the ‘Killer’ competition. Great thanks go to Lion Ian and Sue Ranscombe for their hard work in planning and running a great evening.

Presidents New Years Party

Lion President Wyn entertained Lions and friends of Lions to a New Year Party recently. Vice President Julie and Margaret prepared a delicious hot meal which was most welcome on a cold day. We had a superb raffle which was organized by Val. Everyone present received a prize and money raised was put towards the charity fund. Lion President Wyn expressed a big thank you to Vice President Julie, Margaret and Val for all their hard work. A great time was had by all.
